Swedish/Icelandic Artist Freyr Signs To Nettwerk; Shares Track

February 28, 2020 BY Nettwerk

Nettwerk is excited to announce the signing of half Swedish, half Icelandic artist Freyr to its label roster.  Today, the singer/songwriter shares a new track called “I’m Sorry.” With a down-to-earth musical expression, Freyr finds something big in the minimalistic. He builds up fragile melodies that encircle both time and space.

Listen To “I’m Sorry” Here:

Freyr says, “‘I’m Sorry’ is about a summer romance … an unexpected romantic weekend on a small sailing-boat in the Oslo harbor. We lived far apart, met on the boat, and on the third morning we had to go separate ways.

Nature is a dominant influence in Freyr’s music. The source of that can be traced back to two things: his upbringing in Umeå, a city located in the mellow forests of northern Sweden), and the stillness of Iceland, where he spent most of his childhood summers. Through his view of these environments, he invites listeners to an intimate space of storytelling.

Stay tuned for more music from Freyr.
