Montreal-Based Vocalist/Producer kerri Shares BUNNYHUG EP
February 10, 2023 BY Jason Currell
Today, Montreal-based vocalist/producer kerri shares his latest EP, BUNNYHUG, kicking off a two-EP series. Shaped by personal experience, BUNNYHUG shows kerri in various stages of his life, covering topics like young love, anger, the regret of burning bridges, and isolation.
“The EP,” shares kerri, “serves as a snapshot of a boy maturing into a man in the midst of a harsh world. The ‘BUNNYHUG’ title is a slang term from my hometown that means ‘hoodie’.”
BUNNYHUG follows the release of three singles, which have accumulated six-figure streams across platforms. The introductory single “Things I Want” (with Skinny Atlas – HERE) landed Spotify’s New Music Friday: Canada, while second single “Hands” (HERE) landed placements on Amazon Music’s “Breakthrough R&B,” “Fresh R&B” and “Brand New Music” editorial playlists.

Artist Biography
Learning to produce in his teens, kerri draws inspiration from indie and electronic acts (e.g., Frank Ocean, Dijon, and James Blake) and mixes it with his own experiences and craft. The result is a signature sound of spacious textures and emotional narratives. With each release, kerri offers tender and organic consistency, where feelings of heartbreak and isolation seep through bedroom walls, and everything feels filtered through grainy VHS tapes.
