Los Angeles indie rock band Run River North are back with new single “Hands Up,” an anthemic return that pairs an earworm-y chorus with a front-and-center guitar melody.  The track is co-produced by Joe Chiccarelli and is a co-writing collaboration with Hannah Hooper and Christian Zucconi of Grouplove (the duo’s first of such sessions).

“Hands Up” is the first new track from Run River North’s upcoming release (details tba), and one that ushers in a new era for the band, having recently evolved from a sextet to a trio.

Of the track, lead vocalist and guitarist Alex Hwang says, “Sometimes you surrender or give up, other times you’re letting go or lifting up. The song simultaneously laments past grievances, stays in the present moment, and ultimately moves forward with hands up and hearts open.”
