HANA LILISHARES RUMINATIVE NEW SINGLE “UNDRESS ME”

Welsh alt-rock and pop artist Hana Lili continues her excellent run of new music apace, and today shares her most intimate and emotionally charged track yet in “Undress Me.”

“Undress Me” is Hana at her most vulnerable and introspective, stripped back to simple, fragile piano tones framing her unguarded diaristic storytelling. Written in the aftermath of a breakup, the song captures that quietly devastating moment when love has already slipped away; it’s a moving and vivid portrayal of love unraveling. A track that highlights Hana’s ability to balance honesty, power, and restraint.

As Hana herself explains; “’Undress Me’ was written about a relationship that ended. It’s those moments where it’s just the two of you, zoomed in, when you realize the last thing you want to do is be with this person. Deep down knowing it was over before it was. It’s a song about realising a lot of things. Hindsight is such an interesting thing, you can really look at the past through any lens you choose to, and I think this song allowed me to look at it from a perspective that was a little less forgiving. I wrote it on the piano and had the words ‘undress me’ written down in my notes from a while ago. Only when writing on the piano did I get the chance to be a little more brutal with myself and the lyrics of the song.”
