Hollow Coves
Hollow Coves is the indie-folk voice of connection to beauty and community—a reminder to look inside the self and embody gratitude for the natural world. Living on the Gold Coast and weaving their own perspective on paradise, Matt Carins and Ryan Henderson are equal parts songwriters and vocalists, alternating lead roles to best serve the song. Matt and Ryan first caught attention with their humble debut EP Wanderlust (2017). Travel stories and ruminations on landscapes from years past defined their sound and their purpose as a group. On their 2019 full-length Moments and 2021’s Blessings, Hollow Coves unintentionally became known for writing indie-folk anthems for the great outdoors. Fan favorite “Coastline” is certified Gold in Canada and Australia and became one of the Top-20 most used songs on Instagram Reels in Summer 2021 as the group emerged as a post-pandemic soundtrack for their fans’ special moments – births, weddings, trips of a lifetime – it’s through this emphasis on connectivity and community that Hollow Coves embrace the online space. Since then, Hollow Coves have amassed over one billion streams in the process. These grassroots digital moments have paved the way for Hollow Coves to travel across the world, interact with fans and hear their stories. In 2024, they’ll return to North America and Europe to play to larger crowds than ever before – bringing their “stunning harmonies” (Billboard) to “songs that belong on the same shelf as Jackson Browne, Arcade Fire and early Ben Howard” (The Sunday Times).
