Xavier Rudd Shares “Walk Away,” First Single From Upcoming Album ‘Storm Boy’; Worldwide Tour Dates Announced

February 26, 2018 BY Nettwerk

Xavier Rudd returns with the euphoric new single “Walk Away,” his first new material since 2015. Poignant and uplifting “Walk Away” is one of Xavier’s most powerful songs to date – seamlessly weaving philosophy and music.

Produced by Chris Bond (Ben Howard, Tom Speight) and mixed by Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, David Bowie, U2), “Walk Away” is taken from Xavier’s forthcoming new album Storm Boy, which showcases his incomparable songwriting craftsmanship and is an impressive addition to his ever-growing legacy.

To support the album, Xavier has announced Australian, North American and European tours for 2018.  In 2017, Xavier played his largest European tour to-date, performing a whopping 28 shows over 34 days to more than 30,000 people.  This year, he will surpass this with his biggest tour yet. With a massive intercontinental world tour, Xavier will perform shows across North America, Africa, Australia/New Zealand, United Kingdom and Europe in the largest venues of his career. Visiting 18 countries (with even more to be announced) this massive itinerary is a good indicator of how Xavier feels about the new record. He wants nothing more than to get out and play it for his worldwide fanbase.

Speaking to the ambitious endeavor, Xavier says, “I am proud of my new music and I’m excited to bring it to the people. Blessed again to be playing shows this year in so many countries around this magical planet.”

This is going to be a year that fans will never forget.
