Wild Rivers Team Up With Bachelor Nation’s Justin Glaze and Connor Brennan To Help Fans Find Love
March 24, 2022 BY Jason Currell
Earlier this week, indie trio Wild Rivers launched their creative and very personal contest, ‘Love From The Sidelines’. The idea came about after hearing tons of stories from fans on their sold-out U.S. tour who fell in love at their shows or connected on dating apps over their music. The band decided they wanted the chance to play matchmaker for a few lucky fans and were excited when Bachelor Nation’s Justin Glaze and Connor Brennan reached out wanting to help.
For the contest, fans are invited to fill out a dating application for their chance to be matched with a fellow Wild Rivers fan. Based on the fan’s answers, Wild Rivers will play matchmaker and choose couples from around the world. The winning couples will be introduced by the band via a virtual meet and greet and will also be given two pairs of tickets to attend a Wild Rivers show in their city, plus a merch pack. Connor Brennan and Justin Glaze are the official ‘dating experts’ and will be doing an IG live in May (TBA) with the band and together, giving advice through the band’s social media. Within a week of the launch, the contest already has over 1,000 entries.
Along with the contest, Wild Rivers created several dating-themed Buzzfeed quizzes. Procrastinate with them now!
Earlier this month, Wild Rivers reimagined one of their most beloved songs, “Thinking ‘Bout Love,” as a collaboration with celebrated singer/songwriter Wrabel. The intertwining vocals of Wild Rivers’ Devan Glover and Wrabel sound meant-to-be and take the listener through a near-spiritual mid-tempo reflection of the heart-aching ways love comes (and goes). The original version of the track is certified Gold in Canada.

It was co-produced by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Sharon van Etten) and recorded in Connecticut, Los Angeles, and Khalid and Devan’s college town of Kingston, Ontario. Described by Line of Best Fit as “a confident and mature record,” while Wonderland said it is “sure to calm your soul and centre your mind” and Under the Radar lauded the band’s sophomore album as “a piece of poignant pop beauty.” Wild Rivers have earned over 250 million streams and a devoted fanbase for their expertly crafted harmonies, introspective lyricism, and incredible live show. This year, the trio has also been selected to perform at both BottleRock and Bonnaroo. For complete tour dates, go to www.wildriversmusic.com/tour.
