Wild Rivers Share New Single “Weatherman” From Upcoming Full Length + Tour Dates Selling Out

July 29, 2021 BY Nettwerk

As their fall tour dates sell out and fans await details of their upcoming full-length album, indie trio Wild Rivers share another new album track — the upbeat, crisp and metaphoric “Weatherman.” The band says, “This song came out of a conversation we had about how you can never trust the weather forecast. It was this funny idea that led to a conversation about things in life that we see as a certainty, and how rarely true that is. We talk a lot about making plans and a deep desire for control. Not only is this futile, but it also completely takes you out of the present. ‘Weatherman’ is a reminder to us to appreciate the moment…that we’re just right.” “Weatherman” is available at digital retailers tomorrow, July 30th, HERE

“Weatherman” follows the release of the wistful, coming-of-age “Amsterdam.” Co-produced by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Sharon van Etten) and Wild Rivers, these two songs offer a glimpse into the band’s anticipated full length album, details tba.

Wild Rivers recently announced a fall headline tour across the U.S. with support from Lindsey Lomis and Jillian Jacqueline. With dates already selling out, the band has added second shows and upgraded rooms in various cities (full list below). They are proud to be supporting  Voices of Our City Choir – the San Diego-based non-profit organization created in response to the current housing crisis, and partnering with REVERB.org’s Music Climate Revolution campaign – uniting the music community in the fight against the climate crisis. For tickets and more information, visit www.wildriversmusic.com.

Wild Rivers first caught attention with their exquisite harmonies and infectious melodies on their 2016 self-titled debut, followed by their acclaimed EPs, 2018’s Eighty-Eight and 2020’s Songs To Break Up To, which all combined have earned the band 200 Million streams. Having supported artists like The Paper Kites, Donovan Woods and Jake Bugg, Wild Rivers has built a dedicated live following thanks to their charismatic stage presence as evidenced by sold out headline shows across North America, including major cities like New York, Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto and more. Wild Rivers is Khalid Yassein [guitar, vocals, keys], Devan Glover [vocals], and Andrew Oliver [lead guitar, synths].
