VANCOUVER’S NEO-CLASSICAL ARTIST NEIGHBORHOOD LIBRARIES DROPS NEW ALBUM POSTCARDS FOR THE BACKYARD

October 20, 2023 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Vancouver-based composer, producer, film scorer, and neo-classical performer Taylor Swindells aka Neighborhood Libraries, drops his new LP Postcards for the Backyard. Taylor, who previously performed in indie-rock outfit The Tourist Company, recorded the album at his home studio, aptly named The Edge Of The World, drawing inspiration from fellow neo-classical composers like Olafur Arnalds and Peter Broderick.

“The Postcards for the Backyard LP is an homage to a really pivotal time in my life where things were shifting and changing. Each piece is a snapshot of a moment I want to take with me into the future and the full record ties them all together into one thought.”

Each track on this LP is a snapshot of a pivotal moment in Swindells’ life, capturing the essence of change and growth. With previously released gems and the two new eloquent additions, “We’ve Been Here Before” and “Shannon Falls,” this album promises to be a mesmerizing journey through the heart and soul of an artist coming into his own.
