Vacation Manor Announce New EP ‘Thoughts In Progress, Pt. 1’ With New Single “Apt. 4”

Virginia duo Vacation Manor—Nathan Towles and Cole Young—will release their new EP, Thoughts In Progress, Pt. 1 on September 18th, and today they share new single “Apt. 4,” along with its official video.  On “Apt. 4,” breezy acoustic strumming and delicate drums give way to fluttering melodies as it musically nods to nineties pop.

The song examines the push-and-pull of a relationship. Nathan explains, “I had just gotten married last year. The song is about wanting to be home. I don’t want to be okay with being gone all the time. Simultaneously, I don’t want to be so caught up in that feeling that I’m not enjoying where I’m at when I am away. It’s got a lot of tension.”

Painting in broad strokes of lush guitars, bright melodies, shimmering rhythms, and cinematic and intimate lyrics, Vacation Manor have been making music together since 2016. The indie rock/pop duo’s debut EP, Girl, Say, yielded fan favorites such as “A Toast and a Spirit” and “Careless.” On its heels, 2018’s Everything I Can’t Say Out Loud elevated their total streams past 25 million. In 2019, they reteamed with Girl, Say producer Kyle Cummings and wrote and recorded their new EP, Thoughts In Progress, Pt. 1, which will be their first release via their new label home, Nettwerk.
