UK based artist Joe Alexander Shepherd shares his new single “Lost,” a stirring and emotional piece that showcases Joe’s abilities as an expressive pianist and as a skilful composer.This is ahaunting heart-felt piano solo with the intimate felt keys,reflecting on the nature of his home surroundings in Yorkshire, England.It is a superbfollow up to the release of “We Rise,” a moving piece written for theviralshort video Italia,by filmmaker Oliver Astrologo,anda love letter to country that was sobadly affected by the Covid19 virus.

A graduate from Paul McCartney’sacclaimed Academy of Music in Liverpool, Shepherd composes and performs intricate, minimalist contemporary-classical music in the vein of Ludovico Einaudi, Michael Nyman, DustinO’Halloranand beyond. Writing and composing music since he was 15 years old, Shepherd mixes modern contemporary-classical with subtle touches of atmospheric melancholy. Piano has always been in the heart of his songs, adding his own unique twist with textural synths to bring the simplistic melodies to life. As an in-demand composer Shepherd has composed music for the likes of UEFA, Rugby Football Union (RFU), BBC1, BBC2and Land Roverto name a few. His first EP Time, came out on Nettwerk in 2018. Joe Alexander Shepherd is currently in the studio working on new material.
