Together Pangea Take On 2020’s Claustrophobia With New Song “Nervous”

August 12, 2021 BY Nettwerk

Together Pangea shares another new track from their upcoming album DYE (October 22nd), an upbeat, undeniable collection of hooks, anthems, and power-pop garage-rock catchiness. “Nervous” is no exception, as the band flies on all cylinders taking on the claustrophobia of the past year, and how that takes a toll on the future, both literally and figuratively.

“Nervous” follows the release of the hook-driven, crunchy “One Way or Another” (which Consequencecalled “Another catchy cut of garage rock”) and the infectious “Nothing To Hide” (which Buzzbands.lacalled a “relentlessly catchy rocker”). The band will be previewing these songs along with some past favorites during their upcoming livestream on August 20th via Bandcamp.

Together Pangea will celebrate the release of DYE with a special hometown headline show at LA’s The Troubadour on Saturday, October 23rd, and will headline Chad’s Home Fest on November 20th at the Glass House in Pomona, CA, where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Border Angels Foundation. The band has also announced a handful of September 2021 dates in the U.S., and a 2022 Europe/UK tour supporting Jimmy Eat World. All dates are below.

Since they began jamming back in William’s Santa Clarita bedroom, Los Angeles indie band Together Pangea have continually challenged themselves with each subsequent offering. Jelly Jam [2010] poured the gasoline, Living Dummy [2011] struck the match, and Badillac [2014] lit the fire with its revved-up nineties rock-inspired flames. Along the way, fan favorites like “Sick Shit,” “Badillac,” and “Offer” would rack up millions of Spotify streams, while the group received support from Consequence of Sound, Pitchfork, MTV, Stereogum, and more. Following the 2015 release of The Phage EP, produced by The Replacements’ Tommy Stinson, these working class boys embarked on the journey to what would become 2017’s Bulls and Roosters, which evidenced their growth as a tried-and-true rock band with just the right amount of “brattiness,” as they like to say. Before the global pandemic took over, Together Pangea brought their raucous live shows to sold-out audiences across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, UK, Europe and Australia, both headlining and sharing the stage with bands like Vundabar, Tijuana Panthers and Alkaline Trio.
