Today, artist and musician Tim Atlas and Paris-born producer/DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Tobias Dray release a remix of the latter’s viral single “I Don’t Mind (feat. Ben Chandler),” from his debut EP DAYDREAMER. “I Don’t Mind (feat. Ben Chandler) [Tim Atlas Remix]” takes an already up-tempo, smooth jam from Tobias and serves up a funky bass line with modern nods to retro production. Of the remix, the artists had this to say:

I like Tim Atlas’s dancey vibes, so when I heard he wanted to remix my track, I was excited! He added a whole other groove to it by making it super funky. He definitely took it to a different level, happy for everyone to hear what he added to it.” – Tobias Dray

When I was approached to do this remix for Tobias, I thought it’d be a fun challenge to put on a new hat & try something different. I love songs where a riff sort of carries the track, and that idea ended up being the building block to where it landed.” – Tim Atlas

About Tobias Dray:

Paris-born producer/composer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Tobias Dray doesn’t fall under one sub-genre, producing electronic music, indie pop, and indie R&B.  With two EPs via Nettwerk Records – xx and xx – Tobias is a classic “recording-in-2020/2021” story. Unable to meet vocal collaborators in person, Tobias (who has had a knack for cherry-picking collaborators via the internet) turned to Spotify, reaching out to vocalists Abel., Ben Chandler, Knightly, and Charlie Powers, and Yuki Dreams Again with personalized messages complimenting them on their music and asking if they’d like to work together.  The result is a catalog that balances organic and electronic elements and best reflects Tobias’ collection of obscure hip-hop and jazz vinyl.

About Tim Atlas:

Artist, songwriter, and producer, Tim Atlas’s five-track EP found tips at FLAUNT, SPIN, FLOOD, The Line of Best Fit, Atwood Magazine, and more. As a full body of work, QUOTA exemplifies Tim’s growing mastery of modern pop. The EP is another addition to a catalog – which also includes collaborations with slenderbodies, honeywhip (“Peace At Last”), and Kartell – that has earned support from Paste Magazine, Complex, Zane Lowe (Beats 1), KCRW, Clash, Hunger and more. As a multi-faceted creative, Atlas a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer. Known for his unique brand of downtempo R&B and Neo-soul akin to the sounds of Toro y Moi, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Rex Orange County, Tim initially made waves with his debut EP, All Talk! From there, he went on to pick up significant support amongst radio tastemakers and the press. After amassing over 40 million streams and love from Spotify, Apple Music, and more, Atlas embarked on a global tour marking key shows in London, New York, and Los Angeles, supporting The Magic City Hippies and Gold Room, debuting his first festival appearances at The Great Escape Festival in UK and Noise Pop in San Francisco.
