This Is A PSA: Paris Paloma Calls Out The Lapdogs Of Patriarchy On New Single “Good Boy” Feat. Emma Thompson

September 18, 2025 BY Emma Orland

This is a PSAParis Paloma is calling on men to stop chasing their tails for approval from a system that oppresses everyone, including them, on new single “Good Boy” feat. Emma Thompson. The song claps back at the manosphere with biting wit and unflinching honesty, flipping its rhetoric into a rallying cry for dismantling patriarchy and reclaiming solidarity between men and women. Watch the music video premiere today on YouTube at 1PM ET/10AM PT, which was directed by BAFTA winning Georgie Cowan-Turner and stars actor Tom Blyth, HERE. The single is available everywhere tomorrow, HERE.

“’Good Boy’ is a message to men that you have more in common with me, more in common with everyday women, than you do with men in power pushing capitalist patriarchy; so don’t be their good boy. Any knee-jerk reaction to women criticising and working against patriarchy, by calling women ‘man haters’, bites off your own nose, and upholds a system that isolates and betrays you, cutting you off from community and love. You won’t be rewarded by those in power for upholding a system that harms you and benefits them. You’ll get nothing, not even so much as a ‘good boy,’” urges Paris.

Catch Paris performing “Good Boy” at All Things Go Festival in Columbia, MD on September 27 and in NYC on September 28, alongside Noah Kahan, Doechii, Lucy Dacus, and more. Then, Paris will join Florence + The Machine as a special guest on her UK/EU arena tour starting February 6th in Belfast and wrapping on March 9th in Berlin. This follows a handful of festival appearances at Glastonbury, Southside, Bergenfest and sold out UK, EU and US runs, including her most recent sold out headline show “Goodbye Cacophony,” closing the chapter on her debut album 1 year after the release and paving the way for “Good Boy” in an intimate celebration at London’s Hoxton Hall. Paris Paloma is a commanding new force in indie folk, weaving haunting vocals and unflinching storytelling into songs that confront power, femininity, and resilience. Her Gold-certified breakout single labour became a cultural lightning rod, sparking over 11 billion views across social media and over 480 million streams on Spotify alone. The anthem has fueled viral trends and global movements—soundtracking everything from reproductive rights campaigns on KamalaHQ and anti–sexual violence advocacy in support of Gisele Pelicot to the empowering run like a girl phenomenon.

The track’s impact has carried Paris to major stages and screens, including performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, BBC’s Later…with Jools Holland, and The Kelly Clarkson Show, as well as invitations to support superstar Noah Kahan and the legendary Stevie Nicks at Hyde Park in London. Widely celebrated by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Billboard, CNN, The Boston Globe, PAPER, Bust, and more, she has also been spotlighted as YouTube’s Trending Artist on the Rise, an Amazon Breakthrough Artist to Watch, a Spotify Juniper Artist to Watch, and a Spotify EQUAL Ambassador.

In 2024, Paris added to her accolades by performing The Rider for The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, joining a legacy of musical icons like Ed Sheeran, Annie Lennox, and Enya who have lent their voices to the Tolkien universe.

“Good Boy,” is the follow up to Paris Paloma’s critically-lauded 2024 debut album, Cacophony, which landed on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #23 and today boasts combined streams of nearly 1 Billion. The album tells stories of grief, love and trauma through the lens of Greek mythology, gothic literature, and patriarchal oppression. Listen to Cacophony HERE and stay tuned for more details on new music.
