Indie pop/folk duo The Weepies attended BMI’s 63rd Annual Pop Awards in Beverly Hills last Tuesday night (May 12), where P!nk received the BMI President’s Award. As part of the evening’s celebrations, P!nk invited The Weepies to perform one of her songs. The duo happily obliged with a special rendition of “F—in’ Perfect.”

The Weepies recently released their first new album in five years, Sirens, to critical praise. They’ll launch a full band North American tour on May 29 (tour dates below).

Praise for Sirens:

Sirens ultimately represents a definitive record in The Weepies’ catalog, not just for the backstory of its creation, but for its broad scope of musical layers and untiring search for emotional truths.” — Paste Magazine

“[Sirens is] an album of exquisitely artful songs… killer harmonies with smart lyrics.”
Guitar World

“It’s hard to imagine a pair of voices more gracefully matched, songs more holistically optimistic but intelligently honest, or arrangements as gorgeously structured as what is contained herein. This is an exceptionally well-done record.” — The Bluegrass Situation

Sirens, their most inspiring and captivating release to date, is a monstrous grand slam.” — Thank Folk For That

Sirens captures that bittersweet dichotomy between sadness and optimism as artfully as ever…there’s a restless spark here that hasn’t always been present in the Weepies’ recordings…Sirens’ occasionally beefed-up sound is an evolution, not a departure.” — Diffuser.fm
