Today, critically acclaimed Singaporean singer and songwriter Linying releases her new single and video entitled “3 Hours On.” It marks the fourth single to be released off of her highly anticipated full-length debut album, There Could Be Wreckage Here, out January 14, 2022.

Co-written and co-produced with Micah Jasper, “3 Hours On” delivers a tranquil, Bon-Iver-esque melody with Linying’s soft spoken and ethereal vocals. In the track, she recounts a romantic relationship filled with uncomfortable truths and denials that slowly dissolves.

Of the song, Linying comments, “3 Hours On is about the long silences and confusing hostility you start to feel towards the very last months in a deteriorating relationship. You watch it decay and you almost always know that it’s happening, but you just can’t bring yourself to say it aloud.”

Linying has paved the way for her 8-track debut album, There Could Be Wreckage Here, with a series of buzzworthy singles including “Daylight Blows Into One Door,” “Faith,” and “Springtime,” which NME described as “wistful.” Meanwhile, she teamed up with Birds of Paradise to create her very own gelato flavor inspired by the song.

Linying was also heard in her collaboration with producer evanturetime for the writing, composition, and production of Singapore’s 2021 National Day theme song, “The Road Ahead.” She performed the track alongside fellow Singaporean artists, Sezairi, Shye, and Shabir.
