Singapore’s Linying Returns With New Single “All Of Our Friends Know”

February 14, 2019 BY Nettwerk

Singaporean singer and songwriter Linying returns today with a new single, “All Of Our Friends Know,” the first taste of her upcoming release and the follow up to 2016’s critically acclaimed Paris 12 EP.  The track showcases her vivid lyricism that she delivers through tender, soaring pop.

A poignantly honest and personal song, “All Of Our Friends Know” takes the listener on the sometimes manic journey of falling in love and all that it entails … excitement, passion, uncertainty, fear and every emotion in between.  Linying explains, “It’s my brash confession and reluctant admission to a love that feels both exhilarating and dreadful at once. A serial second-guesser’s surrender song. I want love, but not at any cost; that it’s undeniable or reciprocal isn’t enough – I want it freely, I want it bravely.”

Linying will come back to the States next month for SXSW and other performances.  Details on showcases to follow.

She then began her solo ascent, with the release of her tender debut single, “Sticky Leaves,” which entered Spotify’s Global Viral chart and amassed over 5 million plays, as well as landing a sync on Netflix’s Terrace House. Her debut EP, Paris 12, followed at the tail end of 2016, winning praise from the likes of NPR, BBC Radio 1, and USA Today as it debuted at #1 on the national iTunes charts.
