Savoir Adore To Release ‘The Love That Remains’ August 12, Headline Bowery Ballroom Show

“Savoir Adore marries lyrical density with signature muscular production—a well-constructed bridge that sees the band embarking on new beginnings…” – BlackBook

“Paul Hammer’s electro-pop anthems know when to reach for overpowering uplift.” –NPR’s The Austin 100

“Fearless electro-pop.” – Indie Shuffle

Savoir Adore will release new album The Love That Remains on August 12, and will celebrate that same evening with a headline show at the Bowery Ballroom (tickets on-sale this Friday, May 6). Self-produced with mixing by Claudius Mittendorfer (Big Data, Neon Indian, Weezer), The Love That Remains finds the band at its most mature, honest and ambitious. Now led solely by principal songwriter/vocalist Paul Hammer, the album tackles themes of love, loss and the often-inescapable darkness of memories.

“When we were in Brazil in 2014, I learned the phrase Saudades, which describes a deep longing for someone or something as an almost physical entity. The idea of love as a supernatural, physical thing was a very interesting and inspiring idea to me, “ says Paul. “From there, the album became about rediscovering love, in every way, finding it again in the world, with someone else, and with yourself. Whereas our last record was the story of two, I found it fitting and necessary to write this from a very personal, singular perspective.”

The band has already shared anthemic single “Giants,” which Neon Gold declared “has all the hallmarks of an early summer anthem to get the alt radio airwaves buzzing.” The track premiered on WNYC’s Soundcheck and was featured in NPR’s coveted The Austin 100 SXSW preview, and received over 100,000 Spotify plays in its first weekend.

Savoir Adore also released the first official video for album opener “Lovers Wake,” which All Things Go described as “substantially dreamier fare,” while Kick Kick Snare observed its “crystal clear production and intimate vocals.”

A fixture of Brooklyn’s indie scene, the ever-evolving project continues its journey through magical dream worlds and vivid musical landscapes. The band — which is rounded out by Alex Foote (guitar), Ben Marshall (drums), Andrew Pertes (bass), and new female vocalist Lauren Zettler — launched 2016 with a sold-out hometown headline show at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right, followed by a successful run at SXSW and a support slot with X Ambassadors. The band is planning a full tour in the fall following the release of The Love That Remains. Details to follow.
