Run River North on Late Night With Seth Meyers; SXSW Dates Announced

March 11, 2016 BY Nettwerk

“…an evolution from the band’s folk roots straight into full-blown anthemic rock. I challenge you to sit still while you listen. Not gonna happen.” – Paste

“‘Drinking From a Salt Pond’ the sophomore effort from Run River North, is a sonic evolution from their self-titled debut.  Feistier lyrics render a little less Of Monsters and Men and more Cold War Kids.” – Los Angeles Magazine

Run River North’s sophomore album Drinking From A Salt Pond (out now via Nettwerk Records) lands at #6 on the Billboard Heatseekers’ chart and #3 on the Alternative New Artist Albums’ chart.  Working with producer Lars Stalfors (Cold War Kids, Deap Vally, HEALTH, Matt and Kim), the band leaves behind its familiar folksy roots to craft an ambitious rock album.

On March 1st, the band played to a sold-out audience in Los Angeles before heading out on their North American headline tour that includes a stop in Austin, TX for the 2016 SXSW Music Conference.  Full schedule below.

On March 28th, the band will perform lead single “Run Or Hide” on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Written about the quiet voices of fear that lurk on the fringes of one’s thoughts and when confronted, the choices we make to pacify them. The band had partnered with Los Angeles alternative radio station KROQ to premiere the official music video for “Run Or Hide.”
