Run River North Announce Spring Dates; Premieres “Can’t Come Down” From ‘Drinking From A Salt Pond’ (Out February 26)

February 1, 2016 BY Nettwerk

Run River North announces their 2016 headline spring tour in support of their sophomore album, Drinking From A Salt Pond (out February 26 via Nettwerk Records).  Working with producer Lars Stalfors (Cold War Kids, Deap Vally, HEALTH, Matt and Kim), the band leaves behind its familiar folksy roots to craft an ambitious rock album.

Co-penned in Nashville with Nick Brown (Mona, Smoke And Jackal) “Can’t Come Down” is a track that effectively brings together Brown’s southern sensibilities with classic pop hooks and the band’s signature melodies. “While working with Nick, we talked about what it takes to thrive in a band, pop songs, artists, labels and etc,” says frontman Alex Hwang when speaking to Paste. “I think the words and the feelings of the song try to take on some of those conversations.”  The band partnered with Paste to exclusively premiere the track.

During the writing of Drinking From A Salt Pond, the band admits to flaring tempers and tense operations as they worked to redefine their sound, goals, and relationships. The recording process was grueling and nearly ended the band…twice.  A revealing and candid account from all members is told here: http://bit.ly/1PWyABY.
