Roses & Revolutions Shares “Worry (feat. Tom Speight)”

April 1, 2022 BY Penny Palmer

Roses & Revolutions – the duo of Alyssa Coco and Matt Merritt—continue to captivate with big screen-worthy hooks and immersive indie-pop production. After amassing tens of millions of streams and earning acclaim from Atwood MagazineAmerican SongwriterFLAUNT Magazine, Paste, and more, the pair return with “Worry (feat. Tom Speight).”

Lightly picked acoustic guitar echoes between piano as Alyssa’s voice builds from intimate verses into a fluttering refrain, “Yeah, I worry all the time, lifted straight from the heart. Meanwhile, Tom counters with a response to the verse as he repeats the phrase, “keep a little light on.

“’Worry’ deals with when someone is just consumed with constant fear and rumination. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. The anxiety and worry always seems to get worse as the sun goes down and it gets dark,”

“I loved working with Alyssa & Matt on this track. Alyssa’s voice is so beautiful! It was such a privilege to write with them plus be invited to sing on the track! I think ‘Worry’ is something we can all find solace in at the moment,” – Tom Speight

Called “spellbinding” by Atwood and “musical alchemists” by American Songwriter, the duo first connected through music, playing in various bands together until it became apparent that there was special creative alchemy between the two. They gained traction with their hit single “The Pines,” leading to over 12 million-plus streams and high-profile syncs across NETFLIX, ABC, NBC, and beyond. Sharing music at a prolific pace, they unveiled the Under the Spell EP, Covers EP, and Midnight Monsters EP over the last two years. The latter included the popular collaboration “Coffee feat. Lostboycrow.” Along the way, SPIN raved, “the Rochester, New York-based duo make truly beautiful music, and FLAUNT Magazine urged, “prepare to fall in love.” Over the course of the next year, expect more music from this Rochester, NY based duo.
