Roses & Revolutions Announce EP & East Coast Dates With KOPPS, Caroline Vreeland and Daughtry; Listen To “Dancing in a Daydream (feat. Weathers)”

January 17, 2020 BY Nettwerk

Fables, parables, and myths relay the most human truths in fantastic form. By doing so, we see ourselves reflected on an otherworldly canvas. Music functions in a similar fashion as it amplifies our feelings in sonic form.  In the same spirit, indie-pop band Roses & Revolutions (led by dynamic frontwoman Alyssa Coco, along with longtime collaborator Matt Merritt) will release the upcoming EP Under the Spell, a “collection of emotions experienced over the past year…a mix of anxiety, identity crisis, paranoia, false hope, and everything in between rolled into a batch of songs,” says Coco.

In order to communicate the vision, they actually sketched out a loose fairytale with illustrations as a creative north star for recording.  “We’re very visual people and thought having some illustrations to help us tell our stories would be an interesting way to express these emotions in a sort of fairytale-like manner,” adds Coco.  In the end, Roses & Revolutions project a relatable tale through a prism of fantasy and create the ultimate sort of fairytale—one that makes you feel just a little bit better, best exemplified by the whimsical musings on latest single “Dancing in a Daydream (feat. Weathers)”.

Artists like Ella Vos, Bishop Briggs, Amy Shark, Kaleo, and Lorde inspire Coco to maintain authenticity and confidence in her music.  It’s this commitment of character that has led the Roses & Revolutions to some key successes with “The Pines,” a rallying point for fans at shows as well as online with features at Paste, Indie Shuffle, All Things Go, Yahoo! Music and others.  Spotify Canada discovered “The Pines,” added it to a playlist, and it took off, eventually reaching #2 on the Viral Chart.  With the viral success of their music, Roses & Revolutions has shared the stage with artists like K Flay, Nina Nesbitt, Daughtry, Kaleo, and VÉRITÉ, as well as their own headlining shows.

On February 28, Roses & Revolutions will begin a co-headlining tour with experimental electro-rock band KOPPS and special guest Caroline Vreeland, before returning home for a show at Three Heads in Rochester, NY on March 6.  As the first dates wrap, Roses & Revolutions will continue to tour, joining Daughtry on several dates, starting March 24.  Known for her powerhouse vocal range, Coco will be sure to impress.  For more ticket info, please visit rosesandrevolutions.com.
