RACHEL CRAGG, SAMEER SADHU, AND ANGUS BLAIR PROMOTED TO VP, A&R AS NETTWERK’S A&R TEAM EXPANDS GLOBALLY

Nettwerk Music Group is proud to announce multiple promotions across its A&R department. Rachel Cragg has been promoted to VP, A&R and Strategy, while Sameer Sadhu and Angus Blair are now VP, A&R. The news comes as Nettwerk’s A&R department expands globally with Nettwerk signing some of today’s most exciting up and coming talent to its roster. 


Nettwerk co-founder Mark Jowett says, “Rachel, Angus, and Sameer’s unique styles and keen eyes for talent have made them invaluable members of Nettwerk’s A&R team. They super-serve their artists, and we couldn’t be more proud and grateful to have them as leaders at the label.”


Rachel Cragg has built a roster of diverse global artists over her tenure at Nettwerk, including indie-pop princess Mallrat, indie dance duo NEIL FRANCES, 17-year-old alt prodigy KALI, Fresh Finds indie-pop artist dee holt, electronic duo Hermitude, LOREM darling young friend, alt-dance staple St. Lucia, alt-folk artist Flower Face, chillpop legend Mokita, indie art-rock artist Jaguar Jonze, vapor soul artist Bay Ledges and Alt z pop artist Lostboycrow. Having recently graduated with an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University, she applies business strategy, her background in artist management, and her A&R skills to develop and grow world-class talent within Nettwerk. 


Previous to her role in A&R, Rachel worked in Management at Nettwerk and Silva Artist Management with artists such as Sarah Mclachlan, Dido, Stereophics, Jimmy Eat World, The Mars Volta, and the Beastie Boys. Additionally, Rachel has vast experience doing freelance work for music festivals and events, including Coachella, The Foreign Press, Bonnaroo, and Stagecoach and has been a speaker on panels and at conferences from BIG SOUND to SXSW. She is currently on the board of directors for Music BC. 


In his time at Nettwerk, Sameer Sadhu has built a roster that has amassed over 1 billion streams globally, including revered acts like Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness and Miami Horror, cult favorites like Miya Folick, Tim Atlas, and Vacations, indie darlings such as altopalo, cehryl, Elliot Moss, Harmless, and Wild Rivers, and LOREM sweet-hearts Abby Sage and Danny Dwyer. Additionally, Sameer is a partner at Secret Signals, a label services and publicity firm strategically based in Singapore working with artists from all over the globe on business development and public relations in Asia. 


Angus Blair joined Nettwerk’s UK office five years ago with a focus on UK and international talent. He brought acclaimed, genre-defying New Zealand band LEISURE and buzzing South London artist, Matt Maltese into the Nettwerk family, and more recently, Welsh rock band Himalayas, soulful artist Mega, Leeds duo Seafret, Bristol Producer duo Bad Sounds and singer/songwriter Rhodes. In the years prior to joining Nettwerk, Angus was at both labels and publishers like Island Records, Chrysalis, Global, and London Records, and signed and worked with such diverse and renowned artists as Jungle, The Horrors, The Vaccines, Ellie Goulding, Corine Bailey Rae, Bat for Lashes, YeahYeahYeahs, and Brendon Benson (The Raconteurs).
