Pop Artists Chymes & Jack Newsome Are Not Afraid To Say “F It ILY”
December 6, 2021 BY Nettwerk
Australian alternative pop artist Chymes teams up with Los Angeles pop singer-songwriter Jack Newsome for an anthemic new single, “F It ILY,” an earworm take on the classic proclamation of love.
Chymes explains, “The way I love this song is insane. It’s so beautiful, but it’s also definitely a bop. For me, the lyrics tell a story of that tension between two people right before they say ‘I love you’. It’s exciting and scary and tense and magical, and I feel like this song really encapsulates all of those things, while also feeling fun and kind of celebratory. Working with Jack on this song has been a dream, and his voice is so good it makes me wanna scream (in a positive way!!!!). He’s such a talented artist, and I truly feel so privileged to be on this song with him. SO GOOD.”
Jack added, “F it ILY” was written so quickly, it just fell out. The song is as honest it sounds. It’s that moment you let go of what’s safe and bare your soul. When I was producing the track, I wanted the instruments and vocals to feel as raw as the lyric, and when Chymes reached out, I knew that this was the perfect opportunity to collaborate.”
