Plàsi Shares New Track “14 Days”
October 22, 2021 BY Nettwerk
Today, Swedish-Greek indie-folk singer Plàsi (born Mikael Bitzarakis) shares “14 Days,” the follow-up to previously released singles – “All Alone” and “Far from Home” – from a forthcoming 2022 album (details TBA).
“14 Days” is about the hopelessness in trying to build and maintain a long-distance relationship when you are limited to meet. “It brings endless questions and thoughts of what is most important in life and who is supposed to be in charge of that. Frustration might not always be rational when it stems from losing control, but it gives an unfiltered perspective from this moment in time,” says Plàsi.
Plàsi’s songs have always had a soft, airy grace to them; music that sounds like the dusk drawing in. For the track, Plàsi teamed up again with producers Linus Hasselberg and Hannes Hasselberg. These talented Swedish brothers also helmed the ship on his previous EPs Mystery and last year’s Where I Belong. Partly recorded in Greece, Plàsi teamed up with two local musicians to add more texture to the track: Yvonne Melissa on violin and Christos Anastasiades on clarinet. “I always wanted to incorporate my dual heritage into my recordings, and it feels very special to have reached that point finally. We had some beautiful moments together down in Peloponnesus,” says Plàsi.
Starting February 7, Plàsi will begin a co-headline tour with Icelandic singer-songwriter and labelmate Axel Flóvent. See full dates below.
