Singer-songwriter PEGGY returns with her soul-stirring new single and video, “FRIENDS TO LOVERS,” and announces new COMING OF AGE EP slated for fall release. With shimmering production and honest lyricism, PEGGY invites listeners into a hopeful daydream — where the best relationships start as friendships.
“This song is both a manifestation and a ‘what if,'” PEGGY shares. “I can remember the first time I developed a crush on a boy—I was ten years old, and he was my best friend. Ever since then, I have often wished for romance in my life to come from friendship because, in my opinion, Friends to Lovers is the best romance trope there is.”

PEGGY’s storytelling doesn’t stop at the lyrics — she brought the narrative to life through the “FRIENDS TO LOVERS” music video directed by Camryn Eakes. Inspired by the same nostalgic, cinematic energy that shaped the song, she set out to capture that magic visually as well:
“I wrote ‘FRIENDS TO LOVERS’ about that feeling of falling for someone who you’ve known for a while, you see it all the time in rom coms and TV shows, and I wanted to write a song that felt like that! Like you’re in a movie! So obviously I had to make a mini movie to go along with it as well, which is where the ‘FRIENDS TO LOVERS’ music video come to life!”
PEGGY has become known for weaving her love of books, fictional characters, and emotional depth into her music. Her breakout moment came with the viral hit “Fictional Men,” which racked up over 20 million Spotify streams and sparked a devoted fan base.
