Passenger Announces September Dates; Two Shows With Ed Sheeran

Brighton’s Mike Rosenberg, better known to the public as Passenger, will return to North America on September 9th for a three week run of dates, including two shows as support for his good mate Ed Sheeran in Tinley Park, IL (First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre) and Foxboro, MA (Gillette Stadium). This will be Passenger’s first trip to this side of the pond since his 2014 sold-out headline tour in support of his latest album Whispers. Fans who sign up for Passenger’s newsletter will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets starting Wednesday, June 3; general on-sale begins Friday, June 5. All dates are below.
Following the success of hit single “Let Her Go” from 2012’s All The Little Lights, Passenger saw career high chart debuts with Whispers, which landed at #12 on the Billboard 200, #1 on the Folk Albums chart and #5 on the Rock Albums chart. While the album features symphonic sounds and a multitude of instruments and backing vocals, Passenger’s live set-up still remains an intimate one-man show, with only his unique voice, acoustic guitar and beautiful story-telling capturing the attention of audiences in the thousands. In a live review last summer, Billboard.com noted: “Despite his lack of backing players, Rosenberg more than fills the stage with his infectious energy, which is felt by everyone from superfans singing along in the pit to couples canoodling in the upper balcony…what shines through most of all during Rosenberg’s 90-minute set is how easily he’s able to make a 2,000-person show feel like a fireside serenade.”
