Paris Paloma Presents New Short Film ‘The Space Between Claps’; Announces 2026 Support Tour With Florence and the Machine

August 29, 2025 BY Emma Orland

Paris Paloma today announces two landmark moments in her career as an artist: she will join Florence + The Machine as a special guest on their UK & EU arena tour, and she releases The Space Between Claps — a short film capturing the past year of life on the road.

In just over a year, Paris has become one of the most vital new voices in music. Her songs, which are rooted in feminist themes, myth and storytelling, have resonated with a generation looking for both honesty and solidarity. “Labour,” her breakout single, became a global anthem with over 628 million streams, while her debut album Cacophony, released last year, introduced an artist unafraid to tackle rage, grief and resilience head-on. Her live shows have become known as spaces of connection, with audiences full of young women, exchanging notes and finding community together.

Alongside the tour announcement, Paris releases The Space Between Claps, created with long term collaborator Phoebe Fox. The film reflects on the whirlwind of her breakthrough year and documents the beautiful atmosphere of her shows. “It serves as a moment to process this wonderful and sometimes incomprehensible past year of touring,” Paris says.

In 2023 Paris released “Labour” — a song with journal-like lyricism and incisive dark, poetic folk-pop that exposed the unseen weight of women’s emotional labour. Released in the wake of Roe v. Wade’s overturning, it became a viral feminist anthem: breaking into both the Official UK Singles Chart at number #29 and US Billboard Chart. “Labour” soundtracked tens of thousands of videos from women sharing their own stories of structural inequality, and Paris encouraged fans to record their own version of “Labour”, the “Cacophony Version”, which captured women’s rage and grief, and has already gathered over 100M streams on Spotify.

From rising singer songwriter to voice of a generation, Paris made her UK TV debut on Later… With Jools Holland last year, followed by US TV appearances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and Late Night with Stephen Colbert earlier this year. Paris joined Stevie Nicks at BST Hyde Park last summer, as well as appearances at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, and Best Kept Secret. This year Paris had thousands of fans singing at Glastonbury again, and just performed at Boardmasters. Critical acclaim has poured in from the likes of Pitchfork, Billboard, NME, The Washington Post, and The Sunday Times.

Paris Paloma stands as a powerful feminist voice, crafting music that intertwines myth, grief, rage, and womanhood with folk and dark pop sensibilities. This special announcement marks not just a milestone, but a continuation of Paris’s compelling storytelling and unapologetic artistry.
