Oliver Hazard Releases New Track and Lyric Video “Oh Mama Won’t You Write Me”

Waterville, Ohio indie-folk trio Oliver Hazard releases their new song and lyric video for “Oh Mama Won’t You Write Me” today with their new label home Nettwerk Music Group. The new release is one of the most stripped back songs they’ve recorded and is about believing in something and trusting your instincts. Oliver Hazard are known for their Americana-influenced music, similar to CAAMP or The 502s, that makes you want to stomp your foot and sing along. “Oh Mama Won’t You Write Me” offers up a different tone. The band states, “’Oh Mama’ was written by Devin, just after 34 N. River was released. It started out more upbeat, but Mike had the idea to slow it down, focusing on the lyrics and vocal harmonies. This song is about believing in something and trusting your instincts, but despite natural intuition, you can often overlook the true value of something in the moment. This song is about looking back on that moment.”
Topping it off, Oliver Hazard have just announced their new EP, Northern Lights, which is set for release on December 16th via Nettwerk Music Group. The EP will include the band’s newest track, “Oh Mama Won’t You Write Me”, as well as their previously released tracks “Two x Four”, “Use Me Up” and “Fly Right”.
