New Signing: Twin Bandit

June 24, 2015 BY Nettwerk

Nettwerk Music Group is thrilled to announce the signing of Vancouver based folk duo Twin Bandit to its label, publishing and management rosters. Twin Bandit – Hannah Walker and Jamie Elliot – will release their debut album For You on June 29, 2015.

“There is a certain musical magic that happens when Twin Bandit sing together that really hit us when we first saw them perform,” says Mark Jowett (Partner & Co-Founder). “Twin Bandit alchemize a whole new kind of musical gold with their gorgeous vocals as they sing about heartbreak, joy, and emotional arsonists.”

Produced by Jon Anderson (We Are The City, Aidan Knight, Jordan Klassen) and recorded on a farm in Maple Ridge, B.C, For You consists of nine tracks, including two covers (“Crown” by Mason Jennings and “Shine” by Daniel Lanois) that bring to mind familiar memories of new love and old scars. The first single “Rosalyn,’ which pays tribute to a close friend who recently passed away after a battle with addiction, premiered yesterday onThe Bluegrass Situation. “This song is a reminder of the beauty that shines through people like Rosalyn, who bring joy into the lives of those they meet, even in the midst of their struggles,” says Hannah

Twin Bandit will be hitting the road for a Canadian wide tour, which includes several headline dates, a NXNE showcase in Toronto on June 23 and performances at the Winnipeg Folk Festival from July 10 till 12. A full list of tour dates are below.
