New Signing paris91 Shares Lofi Instrumental Track “Newborn”
April 8, 2022 BY Penny Palmer
paris91 is a German production duo composed of Deniz & Flo, “music-loving nerds” crafting a distinct sound that incorporates lofi beats, old school hip-hop, and sophisticated jazzy instrumentals.
For their Nettwerk debut, the duo shares “Newborn,” a chilled and emotional jazzy lofi beat production. Aptly titled, the duo produced the track when one of the members became a first-time parent. In fact, you can catch the baby’s first babbling weaving along throughout. The vocal sample is layered on top of bitcrushed hip-hop drums, groovy basslines, and simple piano lines played by Hamburg-based pianist Cedric Johanson. The track is packed with lovely sound details such as chopped and reversed piano and guitar bits.
The producers field-record atmospheric sounds to combine with real instruments like violin and guitar. The tracks are enriched with many musical details and spiced up with filtered and bitcrushed sounds. With plenty of singles planned for 2022 and beyond, expect much more downtempo and lofi from this collaborative duo.
paris91 joins Nettwerk’s expanding label roster, which includes instrumental artists like Nathan Kawanishi, The Album Leaf, Huey Daze, Slumberville, The Alaskan Tapes, Fletcher Reed, and others. Stay tuned for more music and info.
