Nettwerk Signs UK Composer & Pianist Joe Alexander Shepherd To Its Label Roster; Debut EP ‘Time’ Out Now

Nettwerk Records is ecstatic to welcome up-and-coming UK based composer and pianist Joe Alexander Shepherd to its label roster.
A graduate from Paul McCartney’s acclaimed Academy of Music in Liverpool, Shepherd composes and performs intricate, minimalist contemporary-classical music in the vein of Ludovico Einaudi, Michael Nyman, Dustin O’Halloron and beyond.
Today sees the release of his stirring debut 5-track EP ‘Time,’ recorded from his York home in the idyllic countryside of North Yorkshire over a two-year period.

“I’m really excited to finally get my first debut EP out there” says Shepherd. “I really hope everyone enjoys listening as much as I did creating.”
Writing and composing music since he was 15 years old, Shepherd mixes modern contemporary-classical with subtle touches of atmospheric melancholy. Piano has always been in the heart of his songs, adding his own unique twist with textural synths to bring the simplistic melodies to life.
As an in-demand composer Shepherd has composed music for the likes of UEFA, Rugby Football Union (RFU), BBC1, BBC2 and Land Rover to name a few.
Shepherd will be performing at the intimate St Vedast-alias-Foster church in London on June 8th, playing tracks off his debut EP. Tickets available HERE
