Mountain Bird x Alex Kennon Shares Balearic Vocal Track “It Will Be Easier”
August 13, 2021 BY Nettwerk
Swedish-based artist and producer Mountain Bird (aka Adam Öhman) teams up with acclaimed Italian DJ/producer Alex Kennon to create the hypnotic, Balearic vocal house music monster, “It Will Be Easier.” This melodic deep house anthem is a dynamic re-arrangement of “It Won’t Be Easy,” which CLASH hailed as “sharply melodic but with heart-tugging inflections” and comes from Öhman’s recently released EP Once We Were Present.
Speaking about the collaboration, Öhman had this to say: “My whole team and I wanted to move into the clubbier stuff for my new songs, and when we heard Alex, there was no question but to reach out directly. He had worked and released some great stuff with some of my personal favorites like Joris Voorn and Pete Tong. He said he loved my sound, and we quickly figured out away from there!”
Kennon adds: “A collaboration with a like-minded artist or musician is always exciting because you both push your artistic views to the edges. Working on this track with Mountain Bird brought me back to the early days as a musician, pushing me to create new sounds that are different from my original releases, which I’m not used to producing. It has been a fulfilling task adapting myself for this collab within new sonics whilst trying to keep a groove within a traditional song structure. The melodies in the record have a strong hook with Adam’s unique voice. Listening to it now gives me positive vibes, and that’s what I wanted it to be all about.”
“It Will Be Easier” will be released as a 2-track single with an extended club mix. For digital retailers, click here: https://ffm.to/mountainbird_alexkennon.
About Mountain Bird:
Analyzing the intoxicating effects of the internet age, Öhman’s EP Once We Were Present (2021) marks his continuing growth into an introspective songwriter who enjoys exploring the human condition. The EP’s powerful lyrics symbolize how a lot of internet addiction is fueled by the insecurity of its users, and he hopes that his music can act as a sort of “group therapy” for listeners. Öhman initially made waves with his debut EP Cubism (2018) and DearBrainLetMeSleep EP (2020), detailed and honest insight into the life of someone battling with their mental health through lush electronic soundscapes and alluring synth textures. Once We Were Present is the latest addition to a catalog that has earned support from CLASH, NOTION, Wonderland, Complex, Zane Lowe (Beats 1), Under The Radar, YourEDM, The Line Of Best Fit, Fame Magazine, Plastic Mag, EARMILK and more. At the forefront of his own music, Mountain Bird has created the kind of moody, millennial pop that can define a generation.
