July 22, 2022 BY Jason Currell

San Francisco-based Moonalice will release their second Nettwerk EP, Full Moonalice Vol. 2. Mixed and co-produced by 4x-Grammy Award-winning engineer Dave Way (Fiona ApplePinkNorah Jones), Full Moonalice Vol. 2 is a sonic exploration into country-tinged Americana folk rock. Today, they share “Love Me Today,” the latest single from the upcoming EP. Watch the music video here: https://youtu.be/7Joj1AO-huU
“‘Love Me Today’ is a playful ultimatum of a song,” explains vocalist Chloe Tietjen“The song’s cheeky threat that, ‘it’s only a matter of time before you lose me, but you can love me today’ is softened by the refrain, ‘if you play it right tonight…tomorrow might never come’. It may be an empty threat but is nevertheless a reminder to hold onto and appreciate the one you love.”
Led by the Tietjen sisters dynamic vocals, “Love Me Today” is a testament to Moonalice’s expert musicianship and ability to mold to any genre. The new material follows the group’s 4/20 EP, Full Moonalice Vol. 1, celebrating their deep psychedelic soul roots.
Full Moonalice Vol. 2 will be their second full body of work since transforming into a ten-piece in 2019 through the addition of Lester Chambers and Dylan Chambers of the New Chambers Brothers and Erika, Rachel, and Chloe Tietjen of the T Sisters.
Fans looking to experience Moonalice from the comfort of their homes can catch their next show from San Francisco’s legendary tie-dye palace Love On Haight via Relix Magazine’s Twitch channel. The live stream will be available to watch this Saturday, July 23 @ 2:30-4 PM PST here: https://www.twitch.tv/therelixchannel.
