MIYA FOLICK ANNOUNCES EROTICA VERONICA DELUXE TO BE RELEASED  JANUARY 2, 2026

October 20, 2025 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Los Angeles-based artist Miya Folick announces she will release a Deluxe version of her self-produced third album, Erotica Veronica, on January 2, 2026. It will feature five new tracks, including her August single, “Elton John,” her new single “Mid July,” the original demo of “Erotica,” and “LTTL”, a new version of “Light Through The Linen,” featuring Chrome Sparks. The original record is her psychosexual, psychosensual masterstroke: a kaleidoscopic portrait of self-realization and integration. There is a dilemma that haunts the record: What is the right thing to do when your desires are more complex than the narrow channel our culture allows? “The album is about being queer within a heteronormative relationship structure and within a heteronormative society, but it’s also just about desire and eroticism in general. I don’t think we give each other enough room to explore freely and figure out our own right paths,” she says. On the Deluxe, she contemplates, “Why stop at ‘Erotica Veronica’ when you can have ‘Erotica Veronica (Deluxe)’? Even more juicy insight into my longings, joys, sadnesses, and dysfunctions. I may very well be retiring from vulnerability after this.” Both records feature contributions from Sam KS (Youth Lagoon, Angel Olsen) as co-producer and drummer, Meg Duffy (Hand Habits, Perfume Genius), Waylon Rector (Dominic Fike, Charli XCX), and Greg Uhlmann (Perfume Genius, SML) on guitar, and Pat Kelly (Perfume Genius, Levi Turner) on bass.

Out today, “Mid July” is equal parts diary entry and indie pop anthem—deeply personal yet instantly relatable. Folick adds, “Mid July is a collage of moments and feelings, meant as explanation. As if someone asked you a question and you responded with a series of photographs. I wanted it to have the same exuberant nostalgia of a Broken Social Scene song.”
