Milo Greene Announce North American Tour + Official “Move” Video + New Song “Young At Heart”

August 20, 2018 BY Nettwerk

“Sexy, seductive, hypnotizing and uncontrollably repeatable.” — Indie Shuffle

“The music for ‘Move’ and its accompanying video diffuses something both sinister and sensual, vacillating between ‘80s pastiche and a certain level of humor that comes with parodying such a moody decade.” — Culture Collide

“With the heartbeat of a ’70s bass line, ‘Move’ is typically lush and melodic… It’s for doing after-hours pirouettes on a deserted dance floor.” — Buzzbands.la

LA’s Milo Greene have announced a North American headline tour in support of their third full-length album, Adult Contemporary, out September 7th.  The tour launches in Tucson, AZ on October 2nd and wraps in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA on November 14th (all dates are below). Prior to this, the band will celebrate the release of the album with appearances at Amoeba in Los Angeles on September 6th and San Francisco on September 8th, followed by a special night at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA on September 22nd.   The band’s tour announcement was accompanied by the release of the official video for lead single “Move,” which was directed by Nicolas Harvard and premiered on Culture Collide, who commented, “Milo Greene goes full ‘80s pastiche on sultry video for ‘Move.’”

The always-evolving indie pop band has also released a second album track called “Young At Heart.” Of the song, the band says, “’Young at Heart’ was the very first song we wrote on day #1 in Nashville, essentially kickstarting what would become Adult Contemporary. We were all strewn across Bill Reynolds’ studio floor experimenting with guitar pedals and synth patches, just enjoying making noise together. We had taken some time off ahead of that trip, so ‘Young at Heart’ was really the catalyst to the collaborative approach we applied to the entire album. It felt very much like one of our first writing trips together in 2010, and the lyrics naturally ended up speaking to that.”

Toeing a line between emotional intensity and light-hearted humor, Milo Greene embraced the genre of adult contemporary as their muse for this album. Recorded in Nashville with Grammy-nominated producer Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses, Lissie), Adult Contemporary captures the best of their previous work: It’s exquisitely melodic, like debut album Milo Greene (2012), with the buoyant spirit of Control (2015), yet also manages to be completely unlike anything they’ve done.

Milo Greene is comprised of Marlana Sheetz, Graham Fink and Robbie Arnett who all share vocal and songwriting duties. They released their debut self-titled album in 2012, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseeker Chart and featured breakthrough single “1957.” Their sophomore album, Control, was released in January 2015. Milo Greene signed with Nettwerk Music Group in 2017 and released the Never Ender EP.
