Mexican Lo-fi Producer Donovan’s Playground Signs to Nettwerk, Announces ‘To My Past Self’ LP

Nettwerk Music Group is thrilled to announce the signing of Platinum & 7X Gold-certified producer Donovan’s Playground. The 23-year-old Puebla, MX native (real name Donovan Ferra) joins Nettwerk after gaining a massive Latin American following as one-half of the electronic duo Fallen Roses, amassing hundreds of millions of streams.
“I’ve decided to create this project,” he shares of the genesis of Donovan’s Playground, “where I can experiment and release all of my ideas. The genre or mood doesn’t matter. I’ll go from house music to lo-fi beats and everything in between. It might be messy but I hope that you understand.”
Today. Donovan announces the introspective LP To My Past Self. The 12-track project is his first under the Donovan’s Playground name and features HM Surf, Sleepdealer, Steve Nguyen, and more.
“[To My Past Self]” shares Donovan, “is a reminder to myself of how far I’ve come. Not too long ago, I was struggling with a lot of anxiety with music because I didn’t know what to do next…. With this album, I’m reminding myself how far music has taken me and I think my past self would have loved to see me now. It’ll be a constant reminder to myself that we can become our best versions if we try.”
Along with the album announcement, Donovan shares his latest single “Heavenly.” The hard-hitting hip-hop instrumental features fellow lo-fi producer Sleepdealer. and consists of harps, choirs, and layered textures with different atmospheric elements. It resulted in a hard hitting hip hop beat.

Artist Biography:
Donovan’s Playground is the lofi moniker and the “personal playground” for Donovan Ferra, a music producer from Puebla, Mexico. Along with being 1/2 of the well-known duo Fallen Roses (of which he has platinum and 3x gold certified records), Donovan only recently started releasing lofi beats under his solo account.
“I’ve been making music for over 6 years now,” shares Donovan, “and after exclusively releasing as Fallen Roses, I’ve decided to create this project where I can experiment and release all of my ideas, the genre or mood doesn’t matter, I’ll go from house music to lo-fi beats and everything in between. It might be messy but I hope that you understand.”
