Martin Kerr Goes Viral w/Political Anthem “What’s Up America?” + shares “Like I Do”
February 14, 2025 BY Bailey Vigliaturo
Today, poetic Canadian folk-pop artist Martin Kerr returns with a double single release featuring the viral politically charged re-imagined 4 Non-Blondes anthem “What’s Up?” called “What’s Up America?” and a preview of what’s to come from the new EP, “Like I Do.”
The UK-born and Canada-based singer-songwriter focuses on the whispers of the heart and the sweeping tides of current events. This, combined with anthemic delivery and nostalgic folk instrumentation, is showcased perfectly on these two tracks.
Martin shares, “When you listen to my songs, I hope you feel acceptance for yourself. There’s power in continuing to love yourself determinedly and one another despite our shortcomings and the chaos around us. I hope you sing along and feel you’re not the only one.”
