Mark Wilkinson Announces New Album “Wild & Hunted Things” Out July 4; Shares Transcendent New Single “Reborn”
April 11, 2025 BY Emma Orland
Today, Australian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mark Wilkinson is pleased to announce his forthcoming full-length album, Wild and Hunted Things, due out July 4th via Nettwerk.
Known for his contemplative, thought-provoking lyricism, Mark sings about the moments in life that make us feel energized and spiritually nourished. He shares a new glimpse into the project with “Reborn,” a transcendent song about confronting inner struggles and rising from the ashes of our lowest moments. The uncertainty in the opening guitar melody breaks open to a triumphant chorus.
Mark says: “[Reborn is] about the search and the struggle for inner strength when we feel at our lowest. Ultimately the track is about recognising that our darkest times can be our most important and defining times.”
“Reborn” follows recent singles, “Get Out,” “New Look,” “Don’t Leave Me Behind,” and “Adoration Skies,” which will all appear on his new album Wild and Hunted Things.
Mark is also excited to get back on the road with a string of 2025 headline Australian tour dates this August and September. Find the full list of dates below, and for more information and updates visit: www.markwilkinsonmusic.com.

ABOUT MARK WILKINSON:
For Mark Wilkinson, magic manifests in the form of what he refers to as “Wild and Hunted Things.” The Australian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist soundtracks the search for the latter with a homespun hybrid of eloquent folk, evocative indie, and enigmatic pop on his 2025 full-length LP, the aptly titled Wild and Hunted Things.
“To me, Wild and Hunted Things represent those magical things in life that make us feel energized and enriched,” he elaborates. “However, they are hard to keep a hold of; they’re endangered in a way. The record is about trying to protect those things and preserve them in your life since they’re fulfilling for you.”
Music has always fulfilled Mark. Thus far, he has crafted a catalog of fan-favorite albums, including Truth Came Running [2011], Let The River Run [2013], Wasted Hours [2018], and Blue Eyed Girls [2019]. Meanwhile, “It Must Have Been Love” generated over 30 million Spotify streams. Most recently, he captivated listeners with the Mariposa EP [2022] and follow-up Golden Afternoons EP [2023]. Beyond packing headline shows, the troubadour shared stages with Brian Wilson, Xavier Rudd, Rodriguez, and Seal, among others. Not to mention, he notched a #1 on the Australian Independent Charts and represented Australia at the World Expo in China. He also received acclaim from Americana Highways, The Bluegrass Situation, and The Wild Is Calling, to name a few.
After collaborating on Golden Afternoons, he reteamed with in-demand singer, songwriter, and producer Ben Cramer [aka Old Sea Brigade] for Wild and Hunted Things. Together, they brought the album to life in Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg, Sweden.
“I hope to create a connection and resonate with people through the music,” he leaves off. “I want the overall feeling to be, ‘I have the power to make a positive change and reinvent myself if that’s what I want to do.’ We don’t have to be stuck. We have freedom.”
