LULLANAS Return with New Single “Cheap Silver Lining” Feat Luke Sital-Singh

January 20, 2023 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Indie folk pop, twin sister duo Atisha and Nishita Lulla, aka LULLANAS, return with the immediately infectious “Cheap Silver Lining,” their first new music since 2021. The song was co-written with and features acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer Luke Sital-Singh. Listen here: https://lullanas.ffm.to/cheapsilverlining.

They say, “One of the many thoughts that loop in the anxious mind is doubt. ‘Am I overanalyzing this?’ or ‘Are we hanging on by a thin thread of hope?’ ’Cheap Silver Lining’ is a song for the over-thinkers…for the people who read in-between, above, below, and around the lines right in front of them. We were lucky enough to have our schedules align with one of our favorite artists, Luke Sital-Singh, while we were in Los Angeles. He co-wrote and produced the song, and we couldn’t resist asking him to be a feature on it!”

LULLANAS create songs wrapped in Americana warmth, folk eloquence, country storytelling, and unassuming pop ambition. Their acclaimed debut EP, Before Everything Got Real, thrives on an inimitable and familial balance. Music manifested itself in LULLANAS’ lives at a young age. Growing up in Pennsylvania, they recall how important music was on their many family road trips, with their dad listening to The Beatles, The Eagles and Shania Twain, while their mom favored Johnny Cash and Eric Clapton. During a summer visit to their grandmother in India, the duo ended up in an old cotton mill converted into a studio where they impromptu tracked their song “Don’t Say.” Without any expectations, they uploaded the track, which has almost 2 million streams on Spotify alone. Between gigs alongside Maggie Rose, Darlingside, and Wild Rivers, they toured with Peter Bradly Adams. During the summer of 2019, they recorded Before Everything Got Real with producer Peter Katis [The National].

“Cheap Silver Lining” is the first of more new music coming from LULLANAS in 2023. Stay tuned!
