Lily Kershaw Shares Video For “Party Meds” From Forthcoming ‘Lost Angeles’ EP, Out October 6

July 24, 2017 BY Nettwerk

Los Angeles singer-songwriter Lily Kershaw returns with new single “Party Meds,” a hypnotic and dreamy track that is quite a departure from the sound of her debut album, 2013’s Midnight In The Garden. “Party Meds” is the first taste of Lily’s upcoming EP, Lost Angeles, out October 6th.  The accompanying music video premiered on NYLON.com, and features Lily’s friend and actress, Juno Temple.

Lily tells Nylon that “Party Meds” is “a story of vulnerability and the desire for escapism, but also knowing the consequences of not fully facing yourself and handling your internal life.”

In song and spirit, Lily is an old soul, but upon initial meeting she’s kinetic, ebullient, lively, and kind, quick with a joke and an infectious smile. Lily is a compulsive creator, she jots down melodies and lyrics as she’s wandering through her days. Born and mostly raised in Los Angeles, she offers an antidote to the long-mythologized Los Angeles glitz; she’s authentic, and honest, self-effacing and, above all, she is herself. Her critically acclaimed debut album, Midnight In The Garden, took root in the titans of folk music…those classic songsmiths who weave tapestries of sound with fingerpicking and tales of often unspoken truths.

Stay tuned for more news from Lily Kershaw.
