Lily Kershaw Returns With New Single “Another”; New EP Out June 1

Los Angeles singer-songwriter Lily Kershaw shares the delightfully creative video for new song “Another” from her upcoming Lost Angeles EP, out June 1. The video, which was directed by Noël Wells (Master Of None, SNL) and premiered on Refinery 29 features Lily Kershaw and friends as paper-cutouts, an intensely time consuming creative process with a beautifully executed and visually spellbinding final product.
Of the video process, Noël said, “I think Lily is an immense talent and I jumped at the opportunity to work with somebody I really believe in. What I loved most about the music video was that we really took everything into our own hands and it was a true DIY setup. We cut out thousands of pieces of paper with all of our friends, and followed our artistic instincts and intuition all the way to the end. It was so nice to follow through on something so completely and have an artist who has enough trust and vision to say yes over and over to my weird ideas.”
In song and spirit, Lily is an old soul, but upon initial meeting she’s kinetic, ebullient, lively, and kind, quick with a joke and an infectious smile. Lily is a compulsive creator, she jots down melodies and lyrics as she’s wandering through her days. Born and mostly raised in Los Angeles, she offers an antidote to the long-mythologized Los Angeles glitz; she’s authentic, and honest, self-effacing and, above all, she is herself. Her critically acclaimed debut album, Midnight In The Garden, took root in the titans of folk music…those classic songsmiths who weave tapestries of sound with fingerpicking and tales of often unspoken truths.
