“The Best New Songs Of The Week” – Vulture

“Lily Kershaw takes a journey with ‘Arcadia’…meditations on heartbreak, vulnerability, and love.” –

“With its first note matching its last, Arcadia is not just another album to be put on shuffle during a late-night drive. It’s a story, with a decisive beginning, middle, and end. And just like any other story, you’re bound to get lost without the guide of a fearless narrator, opening up its world to you one line at a time.” — Earmilk

“the L.A. storyteller shows just how much she has grown since Midnight in the Garden, her precious debut album…” — PopMatters

“Turn off the lights and surrender to the pervasive melancholy of Lily Kershaw.”  — Refinery29

“purely raw, authentic, and unfiltered” — Nylon

“Lily Kershaw takes a dramatic turn right out of the gate with the radiant dream pop opener, ‘Unrequited Night’…Kershaw layers her songs with glowing analog synths, unique orchestral elements, and misty harmonies, while still occasionally revisiting the strummy acoustic framework that marked her earlier work…’Arcadia’ finds its own voice and pushes her into a more ambiguous and challenging creative territory.” — All Music “Featured New Release”

“Success is certain to follow.” – American Songwriter

“Lily Kershaw writes captivating ballads and sings them as if she’s the only person in this entire noisy city holding a conversation.” —

Los Angeles singer/songwriter Lily Kershaw has released her anticipated sophomore full-length album Arcadia, available everywhere now.  Weaving warmer analog sounds like organ, harpsichord and guitar with cinematic force, thanks in part to producer Ben Cooper (Radical Face), Arcadia is Lily’s most intimate release to date. But the strongest tool she wields is her voice, both in the simmering ferocity it carries and the poetry it speaks. Though the concept behind the record is epic to say the least, Lily is ultimately telling a story of acceptance, both of herself and the great mystery that is the universe.

To celebrate, Lily shares a new video for album track “Always & Forever,” a song she co-wrote with her dear friend, actress Emma Roberts. While she’s primarily known as a folk-pop artist, Lily consistently pushes the limitations of that label. Originally written as a guitar-based tune, she instinctively decided to add synth, creating an 80s sonic texture without succumbing to any of the tropes found in today’s new wave nostalgia.

Arcadia is the follow up Lily’s critically acclaimed debut album Midnight In The Garden (2013) and her follow up EP Lost Angeles (2018). In song and spirit, Lily is an old soul, but upon initial meeting she’s kinetic, ebullient, lively, and kind, quick with a joke and an infectious smile.  Lily is a compulsive creator, she jots down melodies and lyrics as she’s wandering through her days. Born and mostly raised in Los Angeles, she offers an antidote to the long-mythologized Los Angeles glitz; she’s authentic, and honest, self-effacing and, above all, she is herself.

Lily recently wrapped up an extensive North American tour with Joshua Radin and The Weepies presented by SiriusXM’s Coffee House. She’ll join Radin in the new year at his dates in Paris on January 29th at Café de la Danse and in London on February 1st at Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Stay tuned for more news and tour announcements from Lily Kershaw.
