LA Indie Artist Meija Signs To Nettwerk; Shares New Single “Not Sure How This Ends”
June 17, 2022 BY Claire Julian
Today, Los Angeles-based producer and songwriter meija aka Jamie Sierota shares his first new single, “Not Sure How This Ends,” since signing to Nettwerk last month. The new single is a hazy indie rock number perfect for long summer days and road trips into the mountains that tackles the frustrations that come with daily life.
When asked about the track he said, “It is a song about feeling at the end of your rope, the feeling of things being just out of reach. We played with this idea of plans never working out in the video. The scene where my moped gets stolen after a long day is actually a true story. I’ve had some distance from it now though and can laugh about it.”

Under the guise of meija, LA based producer and songwriter Jamie Sierota makes music for our collective inner child. His synth-drenched, indie pop adjacent brand of rock mines the simple moments we tend to ignore, those that tend to mean far more than we’d like to admit. With the release of his 2019 debut EP, So Long Kid, and the 2021 follow-up EP, Premonition, he has explored themes of nostalgia and naive love and what that all means in a messy and sometimes chaotic world. It has gained him a loyal fan following with over 15 million streams worldwide and praise from outlets like Earmilk, Complex, Ladygunn, KCRW, and more.
