KACY HILL Releases New Single “Listen To You”; New Album Coming In 2024

Today, singer-songwriter Kacy Hill drops new single, “Listen To You,” the third in a recent string of confessional releases that take on the highs and lows of connecting with a deeper sense of purpose in the journey of self-discovery. “Listen To You” specifically taps from the well of a romantic relationship that has transcended love but finds itself at an impasse. The deeply personal lyrics crescendo into an effortless groove, amplified with pedal steel, soft drums, and Hill’s honeyed vocals. “I broke my own rules, losing myself in you, splitting rivers to your sea. It’s not that I mind or wish you would change, but for once could you meet me?… I’m playing the years back over and over, To find where you stopped trying to win me over, I cannot listen to you now,” Hill laments. Accompanying “Listen To You” is a visualizer featuring behind the scenes moments with Kacy and photographer Chuck Grant interspersed with garden and nature found footage.
“Listen To You” follows “Frog Rinse” and “No One,” both co-produced by Hill and Bartees Strange. Hill’s recent releases have been highlighted by Pitchfork Selects, COLORS, Perfectly Imperfect, Ones To Watch, and NYLON as one of 2024 Most Anticipated Albums, a project which Hill has been hinting at. Hill recently performed to a packed room at the Sun Rose in Los Angeles, performing “Listen To You” live for the first time. Watch HERE.
