KACY HILL Releases New Single “Frog Rinse”

December 8, 2023 BY Bailey Vigliaturo

Today, Kacy Hill shares the new track “Frog Rinse, another sonic revelation from the singer-songwriter on her journey of self-discovery and realization. “Frog Rinse” existentially laments over a blend of dreamy glitch-pop and contemporary folk, intertwining ethereal and acid-tinted vocals over galloping rhythm, soft guitar, and fluttering synth. Finding herself at an inflection point between the shimmer of manufactured stardom and the more luminous calm that arrives with confident authenticity, the Arizona native ruminates on her past, regret and the fear of it, and living in the shadow of the innervoice wanting more. Hill asks, “Is that enough to get through anything we go through?” Hill wrote and co-produced the upbeat ballad that showcases her multitude of talents at their strongest.

Hill shares this on her new single, “‘Frog Rinse’ is about the terrifying comfort of a long-term relationship. As I approach thirty, I wonder if stability comes at the cost of freedom and carelessness that was so abundant in my early twenties, and if being with someone “forever” really is enough.”

Kacy Hill has been hinting at a new project on the horizon in 2024, including releasing the recent Bartees Strange co-produced track “No One,” and touring with Suki Waterhouse. More live dates and new music to come – in the meantime, Kacy will be in the garden…
