Julia Stone & Julia Stone In Gorgeous New Video For “Nothing Else”

June 7, 2018 BY Nettwerk

Aussie sibling duo Angus & Julia Stone have released an intoxicating new video for stand-out track “Nothing Else” from their latest album Snow.  The video, directed by Jessie Hill, features two versions of Julia Stone: the buttoned up, responsible businesswoman and the free-spirited, creative artist.  Julia explains, “It’s about self acceptance and self love. I wanted to make a video that shows an aspect of the relationship we have with ourselves. The parts we love, the parts that we find irritating or unlovable. The relationship in the video begins with judgment and frustration. By the end of the video, there is an acceptance from both versions…an ease with the different elements, the contradictions of who we are.”

The acclaimed duo played to sold-out rooms across North American at the end of 2017, including a special performance for Last Call With Carson Daly. The first notes of new album Snow are instantly transporting, beginning the next enchanting journey with the brother-sister duo. The album is yet another confidant advance on a story which now accounts for over half a million album sales in Australia alone. The Sydney-born siblings produced and largely engineered it themselves, in Angus’s cottage studio, Belafonté, in the Byron Bay hinterland.

Since the duo began performing together in 2006, their story has unfolded with an almost magical magnetism that has galvanised the world. Their albums have amassed multi-platinum sales and numerous ARIA and APRA awards at home, and won a fanbase of millions over spiraling tours of the UK, Europe and North America. The band have each month over 5 million listeners who tune in, to stream their music from all over the world.

Their quietly hypnotic songs have infiltrated film and TV from the recent Woody Harrelson film ‘The Edge of 17’ to TV shows like ‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘Suits’ & ‘Revenge’. They have cast their spell over the world’s key festivals: Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Rock Werchter, Hurricane, Austin City Limits, Electric Picnic, Splendour In The Grass.
