“a stirring and stunning call for humanity and action.” – Atwood
“Joshua Radin beautifully plants himself in the eye of the present days, casting a warm, silver glow around his life…” – B Sides & Badlands
Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Joshua Radin returns with his new album Here, Right Now, available everywhere now. He’ll be performing the album’s title track this Friday, October 11 on ELLEN, and as previously announced, he’ll be donating all proceeds from the streams/sales of this track to North Shore Animal League America (NSALA). He also launches his North American tour this week, starting with back to back nights at LA’s The Troubadour (October 8 and 9). More details on tour are below.
Produced by Tony Berg with an array of guest vocalists and musicians, including Berg’s daughter Z Berg, the aforementioned Maria Taylor, Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet) and Danny Burke, Here, Right Now is comprised of seven original tracks and two covers (Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down” and The Rolling Stones’ “She Smiled Sweetly”) that tackle themes of broken relationships, rescue, friendship and self-determination, all delivered with Radin’s silvery, intimate tenor. He also calls on humanity with the recently released “What Would You Do (Refugee Song),” which he was inspired to write after seeing footage of children separated from their families at the border.
Joshua previously released a video for “Here, Right Now” that shines a light on animal rescue with footage and facts from NSALA, the world’s largest No Kill rescue and adoption organization. His relationship with the organization began over a year ago, thanks to his friendship with NSALA National Spokesperson Beth Stern, who asked Radin to participate in a benefit show last summer.
