Jon Bryant Journeys To “Paradise” In New Video
July 23, 2018 BY Nettwerk
“a soft-rock gem you’d swear came out of Southern California in the mid-’70s.” – Magnet Magazine
“a ‘70s-inspired soft rock jam à la Jim James. It’s got that unmistakable west coast groove with a something a little more insidious simmering beneath the surface…” — COLLiDE
Jon Bryant explores the meaning of “Paradise” with his enthralling new video for the track, which is the album opener for forthcoming Nettwerk debut full-length Cult Classic (release details tba). The album is inspired by Jon’s short-lived time as a member of a cult, with “Paradise” perfectly setting the tone for what’s to come.
Of the video concept, Jon says, “Paradise happens when we shed our insecurities, when we let our guard down and ourselves to see people for who they are and not who we judge them to be. It’s taking risks and doing what you love with the ones you love. It’s being your truest self at every stage of life. I think the video reflects that ideal. If we replaced fear and narcissism with compassion and empathy life could look a little more like paradise.”
