“Jim and Sam have such a clear ease in the way that they perform and harmonize with each other … their songs are impeccably written, structured, and arranged.” – KCRW

“…there is a magic that just the two of them share.” – The Wild Honey Pie

“[Jim and Sam] tell distinctly human tales through sweet, harmony-fueled folk songs.” — Atwood

Los Angeles-based duo Jim and Sam will release their sophomore EP (and Nettwerk debut) Yeah Whatever Young Forever on December 28th, 2018.  The following weekend, they’ll join William Fitzsimmons on his “Mission Bell North American Tour 2019,” which starts Sunday, January 6th in Pittsburgh, PA.  All dates are below.

Jim Hanft and Sam Yonack are no strangers to the road.  In 2017, the pair, who also happen to be married, decided to play one show every day for a year, calling it the Anywhere Everyday Tour. Yeah Whatever Young Forever was written during that time and the months that followed. They spent 2018 recording it while simultaneously working on a documentary film about the tour (more details to follow).

“This EP is about navigating our relationship with control. It’s a delicate balance between letting go and repositioning our grip,” the pair says. “Title track ‘Yeah Whatever Young Forever’ was written when we had about three months left of our tour.  Showing up every day to what you are passionate about is an intense way to learn about surrender. These songs are reminders to let go of expectation knowing inevitably the outcome is out of your hands.”

Jim and Sam previously released a moving video for EP track “Doctor Please,” a song about the unavoidable gray while waiting for news of a loved one.  Watch it below.
